Manny Mota, Margaret Mota, Cecila Mota, Jose Mota, and a collective effort by the visiting celebrity baseball players as well as the rest of the volunteering administration through tireless efforts show support for the children of the Dominican Republic with their proposal of a much needed shelter and health clinic. The Manny Mota Foundation makes it possible with what they have to provide food, clothing and toys adhesively combining baseball as the beacon of hope. Statistics show, out of 6,916 players under contract in the major league, over 40 percent co me from Latin America and nearly a quarter from the Dominican Republic.
